Channel check devices are designed to control the velocity of concentrated flows and filter sediment. Many of our devices are installed in swales, storm flow zones, and ditches. • Size of the channel
• Steepness of grade
• The volume of storm water runoff

It is important to know which factors will impact your device so that it doesn't increase erosion. Something to watch for is the flow of the water over the device. If the water flow goes over the top, your device is functioning correctly. If the water flow goes over the top and around the sides then your device will be undermined.
